Brewing Guide
-
Preparation:
- Warm up your carafe and brewer by rinsing them with hot water. This helps maintain the temperature during brewing.
- Place the stainless steel filter or paper filter in the brewer.
-
Measure and grind coffee:
- Measure about 15 grams of coffee beans per cup.
- Grind the beans to a medium-coarse consistency, similar to table salt.
-
Blooming:
- Place the ground coffee in the filter.
- Slowly pour about 30 ml of hot water (around 93°C) over the coffee to evenly wet it.
- Wait for 30-45 seconds to let the coffee "bloom". This step releases carbon dioxide and enhances the flavor.
-
Pouring:
- Continue pouring the hot water in a slow, circular motion, keeping the water level even. Avoid pouring directly onto the filter.
- Continue until you reach the desired amount of water for two cups (about 300-350 ml total).
-
Complete the brewing:
- Let all the water drip through the coffee. This should take a total of about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the brewer and serve your freshly brewed coffee directly from the carafe.
-
Cleaning:
- Remove the filter and discard the coffee grounds.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly with warm water and let them dry.
Enjoy a perfect cup of pour-over coffee with the Kinto Slow Coffee Style Pour-Over-Kit.
